A lot of older screened porches in the Twin Cities were built with screen stapled to the posts and covered with wood trim. Over time the staples loosen, the screen sags, and the trim rots. A conversion keeps your existing porch and swaps out the old screen setup for a system that lasts.
How a conversion works:
- We remove the old screen, staples, and trim
- We check posts and framing and point out anything that needs attention
- We install a SCREENEZE® system on your existing framing
- New screen goes in tight and the vinyl caps snap on for a clean finish
- We can replace or add screen doors at the same time
Why convert:
- Screen stays tight instead of sagging
- No wood trim to scrape and repaint
- If a panel gets damaged, it's easy to replace just that section
A good candidate has a solid roof, posts, and floor, and screen that's loose or patched in a few spots. We'll tell you honestly whether it's a conversion or a rebuild.
